Jonas Deryckere obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Leuven (2002), a Master in European Studies at the Institut des Hautes Etudes Européennes in Strasbourg (2003), and a Master in Corporate Law at the Catholic University of Brussels (2004). He has been a member of the Dutch-language Brussels bar since 2004.
He has published several articles and was a lecturer in methodology of law at the University of Leuven.
Jonas has extensive experience in real estate law and advises several of Belgium's leading real estate firms, acting on legal questions relating to property management as well as corporate real estate.
He also defends the interests of Belgian and international companies in commercial transactions such as acquisitions, as well as complex commercial disputes in matters of, for instance, contractual and extra-contractual liability, and directors' liability.
Jonas values transparency and simplicity. By thinking creatively and closely together with clients, he is dedicated to taking the shortest possible road to a client's desired outcome.
Perfectly bilingual in Dutch and French, he defends the interests of his clients in all Belgian courts when it proves impossible to achieve a client's desired outcome through negotiations.
